BAITING STARTS ON SUN!
The Next Day is this Sun 25th meeting at the rangers station at 9.30am and we will be starting a full baiting in AN, P and B Block
The Ark has been told that our area is likely to be closed in the wet season - June/July/Aug /Sept this year , as people are becoming more concerned about the Kauri Dieback and the organism's ability to spread in moving water or on boots and infect new Kauri trees.
This would affect our first Aug baiting before the bird breeding season but not the second bating which usually starts in Oc
Wasps
The numbers fall off now with the cooler weather, but there are still a few around, and if you are allergic to wasp stings you should not come until mid May when they are usually no longer a problem
Bagging Bait
If you are not happy about doing a line but can come and bag bait that would be most helpful as it is a big ask for Ethne at present.
Therefore we would very much like to do a baiting whilst it is dry ASAP to replace our Aug/Sept baiting. The ARC have kindly ordered in more bait and Ethne is bagging more bait helped by the Hynsons
Owned Lines
If you want to own a line or two please let me know. this is a very good way to help our baiting. If you choose to do lines on a non volunteer day please leave your intentions clearly on the whiteboard and remove on your return
Everyone should take a first aid kit. I still have a few available -half price at $25
